James Newton Howard's score received overwhelmingly positive reviews. The film's 3D conversion was also criticized. It's good to know that children that watch this show may actually learn what it takes to have a good story.The film was universally panned by critics, audiences and fans of the original animated series alike upon its release with many reviewers citing inconsistencies between the plot, screenplay and source material as well as deriding the acting, writing, casting and dialogue. Not since Samauri Jack has an American show been able to pull off an anime style that works. This show is what Nickelodeon needs to give it some respect. The art and research put into this story matches the quality of the plot and character development. And although his airbending skills are great, he still has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone.
